Chandos Collective is proud to share one of our most exciting projects: a transformative redesign of a stately Regency-style home in Houston’s Tanglewood neighborhood. This project, which graces the cover of the latest Luxe Interiors + Design issue, is a testament to our ability to blend rich colors, lush textures, and architectural elegance to create spaces that are both modern and timeless.
Our goal for this 2000-built residence was to enhance its functionality and aesthetic appeal for a family with teenage children. The formal dining room is a standout, featuring blush-pink Venetian plaster walls and a ceiling adorned with geometric gold-and-silver wallpaper. A dazzling, multitiered glass chandelier ties the space together with sophistication and warmth.
The formal living room balances vintage and contemporary design, highlighted by navy-upholstered club chairs that align with the family’s love of blue tones. To create a more open flow between the kitchen and family room, we reconfigured the layout and added a grand brass-trimmed island, complemented by brass light fixtures and hardware for a cohesive, polished look.
A signature feature of this redesign is the emerald-green bar, conceptualized as a “sexy cocktail lounge.” Its lacquered walls and opulent finishes create an alluring, dramatic ambiance that perfectly complements the home’s overall design.
In the primary suite, Venetian plaster walls in silvery blues set the tone for a serene retreat. Custom wool draperies and Roman shades complete the look, emphasizing understated luxury. Across every room, our use of color, pattern, and texture reflects the family’s personality while maintaining a cohesive, high-style aesthetic.
We’re honored that this Houston home has been chosen as the cover feature for Luxe Interiors + Design. It’s a celebration of our commitment to thoughtful craftsmanship and our ability to create sophisticated, artful living spaces.
